Cheryl D. Lindsey, 57, Roaring Spring, passed to her heavenly rest Wednesday afternoon at The Village at Morrisons Cove after a brief illness.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of Melvin W. Lindsey and the late Constance L. (McKnight) Lindsey.

She is survived by her father of Roaring Spring and numerous special friends.

Cheryl was a 1972 graduate of Central High School, after which she began nearly 40 years of employment with the former Central Pennsylvania National Bank, now First Commonwealth Bank. She was a member of Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring, and was involved in various Roaring Spring Borough committees, including the Second Century, Arts and Crafts Festival and Cultural committees. She also volunteered for the American Cancer Society.

Cheryl enjoyed antiques, Civil War history, reading, painting and collecting Christmas and Santa memorabilia.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon at Bare Memorial Church of God, followed by a funeral service at noon by Pastors David Williams, Timothy Monroe and Mark Halliday. Entombment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cheryl's memory may be given to the Roaring Spring Community Library, 320 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673; Gettysburg Foundation, 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325; or American Cancer Society, Blair County Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
