Louise M. Miller, 91, formerly of Altoona, died Saturday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Andrew and Mary (Seifried) Benton. She married Harry A. Miller on June 10, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death June 1, 1981.

Surviving are 12 children: Mary Lu (Graeme) St. Clair, Kathy (Allen) Cecchine, Jane Strasser, Marjorie (Ken) Partner, H. Andrew Miller, Barbara (Tim) Shoup, Theresa (Rick) Venturi, Phillip Miller (Liz Eckert), Bernadette Michelone (Jim Stotsky), Laura (Larry) Boore, Thomas (Betsy) Miller and John "Pete" (Connie) Miller; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Miller.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Miller Rowe; two grandsons: Michael and Benton Miller; two sons-in-law: Barry Michelone and Ronald Strasser; two brothers: Kenneth and Robert; and a sister-in-law, Mary Benton.
Louise was a loving mother who made each of her children feel special. Her family always looked forward to her special "Birthday Song." She was devoted to her family and the Blessed Mother. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where she volunteered at the church fish fries and bingo. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers Society.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
