2 tablespoons ground flax in
1/4 cup water
2 big cloves garlic
1 medium onion, peeled
1 stalk celery
1 carrot
1 tablespoon soy sauce
4 ounces sunflower seeds, raw or roasted
4 tablespoons ground sunflower roasted seeds
2 tablespoons sunflower butter
4 ounces tofutti (vegan cream cheese) or firm tofu
2 slices whole grain bread
Season with a dash of salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon sage or basil upon preference
Soak ground flax in 1/4 cup water and let stand ten minutes
Grind all other ingredients in a food processor until there are no big chunks. Shape into thin patties.
Coat with toasted ground sunflower seeds.
Pan fry in cast iron skillet in hot oil on both sides, turning several times to darken.
