In the June 13 edition of the Mirror, there was an article on Blair Conservation District buying land to preserve it and use it as a showcase.
Great idea.
It makes one wonder who owns the Keith Athletic facility and who has a right to sell this parcel located in a historic and beautiful section of our city that should be preserved as a park for the future of the area and city.
It didn't take the school district long to place a field on the Roosevelt "grave site," and in respect to both schools and the citizens who maintain beautiful homes, this site must be preserved.
The silence on activity makes one wonder if the powers that be are waiting until the heat is off, which is a sneaky way to get away with a disposal of a memorable and beautiful site.
