Regardless of the outcome of the Supreme Court's ruling on Obamacare, it pales in importance to the decision made June 25, 1962 (50 years ago) in the Engel v. Vitale case that banned scripted prayer in public schools.
Other cases followed through the years that have restricted Bible reading, the Ten Commandments and Christian symbols from the grounds of public schools.
Since then, crime rates have risen dramatically and moral values have diminished to a point where the only mention of God or Christ is in vain cursing.
Drug and alcohol use among teens is in epidemic proportion because of the empty void left from a Godless society and education system. Suicide and homicide are also increasing among teens for the same reason.
Science has taken God's place as the authority for our children.
Evolutionary science has taught our students as "fact" that we came from animals, and they have learned to act like animals with their "if it feels good, do it" mentality of secular humanism of the 1950s and '60s.
If you are as concerned as I about the future of our country, pray that God will be welcome again in our public schools or that an alternative can be established that teaches Godly principles to restore our schools and this country.
