Michelle Lou Moore, 50, Altoona, died June 27, 2012, at Altoona Regional after a long battle with type 1 diabetes.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Donald Lawruk and the late Anona (Quartz) Lawruk. She married William B. Moore on April 25, 1987.
Surviving are her devoted husband; a loving daughter, Amanda Moore Doehrer of Altoona; her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan William and Hannah Michelle Doehrer; her father, Donald Lawruk and stepmother, Barb, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and four siblings: Rebecca Blackson, Michael Lawruk, Samantha Gullet and Christina Poschner and their families.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 2001.
Michelle was a 1980 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a graduate of St. Francis University Nursing School and attended Penn State Altoona. She earned her practical nursing license, and during the course of her nursing career worked at Valley View Home, Altoona Regional Health System and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona.
Michelle leaves behind a legacy of love and faith and will be deeply missed by the lives she touched.
Friends will be received from 12:30 until the 1 p.m. celebration of Michelle's life Friday, July 6, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg, the Rev. Dennis Derr officiating.
