Gwendolyn G. "Winnie" Drexler, 82, of Altoona died early Saturday morning at her residence.
She was born in Washington, Pa., daughter of the late John and Mary (McKinney) Rogers. She married Carl W. Drexler Sr. on Jan. 22, 1950, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1987.
Surviving are eight children: Mary Louise Parker (Jim) of Seaford, Del., Carl W. Drexler Jr. (Deb), Edward R. Drexler (Patty), George Drexler (Melvina), Frederick J. Drexler, Steven J. Drexler, Thomas P. Drexler (Sheri), Dwight D. Drexler (Trudy), all of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two brothers: Bernie and Allen Yetsko, both of Altoona.

Winnie was preceded in death by a step-sister, Barbara Duffy.
Mrs. Drexler was Catholic.
She retired from the Dietary Department of the Altoona Hospital in 1987, after seven years service; and had previously been employed by Boyer Candy.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, couponing, Bingo and crocheting.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Jones Funeral Home, 1222 13th Ave., Altoona where a funeral service outside of Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
