Please tell those who are in need of medical care, why one has to lie on a litter for nine hours because there are no beds at Altoona Regional. There is a need for more than one hospital in Altoona. Perhaps that is one reason that Altoona Regional must expand to the medical offices at Station Medical Center on Eight Avenue.
Bon Secours has the space; the facility is well-equipped; and a patient would not have to wait on an uncomfortable table for hours until a bed is available.
