Dale J. Shomo, 68, Utahville, died Sunday. He was born in Van Ormer, son of the late William D. and Ruth L. (Simmons) Shomo. Surviving are his significant other, Betty (O'Shell) McCusker; a son, Dale R.; two grandchildren; and four sisters: Barbara Dick, his twin, Gale Potter, Sandra McAuley and Karen Vanish. He was preceded in death by four brothers: William, Glenn Sr., Patrick and Jack. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport.
