Ann Marie Houldsworth, 63, formerly of Altoona, died Monday.
Ann was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Paul A. and Ruth H. (Balthaser) Houldsworth.
She is survived by a brother, John (June) Houldsworth; a niece, Heather (John) Messing; and three nephews: John Patrick Houldsworth, Eric Scott (Rose) Houldsworth and Michael Stephen Houldsworth.
Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick David.
Ann graduated from Altoona High School and went on to graduate with bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from Penn State.
She moved to the Lansing, Mich., area in 1997 and was very active in the Capitol Area Center for Independent Living. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
Ann will be remembered for her love and knowledge of all birds and animals.
Graveside services will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Ann.
