C. Marie Feathers, 87, of Queen went home to be with the Lord Friday at The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was born in Queen, daughter of the late Herman and Lillie (Hengst) Wright. She married Russell B. Feathers on Jan. 14, 1943, in Winchester, Va. He passed away on Nov. 7, 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, Susahn Hainsey and husband, Larry, of Queen, and their son, Greg and wife, Tracy, of Bellwood; a daughter-in-law, Gwen Feathers and her daughter, Ali, of Imler; a stepdaughter, Dolores Benton of Bedford; 11 stepgrandchildren; and many stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Alan; stepsons: Arnold and Sterling; twin sisters: Elva Wright and Elda Corle; and a sister, Belvadean Mowery.
Marie was a member of Queen United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
She retired from Loungeray, Hollidaysburg, and then worked at Christmas World at Leighty's.
She enjoyed crocheting and puzzle and word search books.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Queen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Blankley officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to her church's memorial fund.
