Betty Lou Ehredt

Betty Lou Ehredt, 91, formerly of 407 First Ave., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday at Garvey Manor, after an extended illness.

She was born in Brookes Mill, daughter of Wilson B. and Lottie (Clapper) Hoover.

On Aug. 28, 1937, she married David E. Ehredt at St. Mark's Catholic Church. He passed away on Dec. 24, 2010.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara (James) Kyle, Nancy (Robert) Murray and Mary Lou Repsher; three sons: David Jr., Dennis (Joyce) and Duanne Sr. (Colleen); two brothers: Byron and George Alton; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was a devoted member of Hope Fellowship Church.

She graduated from Altoona High School and was a lifelong homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and doing her daily devotions. She also enjoyed composing praise and worship songs.

Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. by Pastor Rob Osborn. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Garvey Manor.
