Charles M. "Bud" Phillips, 64, Altoona, died Monday at his residence.
He was born in Lonaconing, Md., son of the late John R. and Leona M. (Cutter) Phillips.
Surviving are two sons: Ronald J. and Charles P., both of Altoona; and four grandchildren: Jeramiah, Darrian, Shelby and Rachel.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
Mr. Phillips was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era. He was an entrepreneur and an inventor.
Bud enjoyed playing cards and going to auctions.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Peter Helmers.
Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
