Peter P. Fabian, 83, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Monday at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Ceslaus and Mary (Jaworska) Pabian. He married Margaret M. Twigg. She died in 1996.
Surviving are three stepdaughters: Patricia (Francis) Wyland of Altoona, Sandy Goheen in South Carolina and Cindy Messersmith of Altoona; a stepson, Ken Henninger in Florida; eight stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren and stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was recently preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pabian. Peter was the last surviving member of his family.
Mr. Fabian was a graduate of Gallitzin High School. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired as a mechanic from Boyer Candy Co.
Peter enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.
Friends will be received from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Santella Funeral Home, 1106 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
