Nancy (Simpson) Kelley, 65, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Shirley L. (Yingling) Simpson and the late Donald J. Simpson. She married Charles M. Kelley Sr. on Dec. 3, 1973, in Winchester, Va., and he died Dec. 5, 1991.
Surviving are her mother of Hollidaysburg; a stepson, David Kelley of Duncansville; and two brothers: Bill Simpson (Joan) of Gettysburg and Jim Simpson (Pam) of Hollidaysburg. She was considered to be the "favorite aunt" to her nieces and nephews, who include Billy Simpson, Mike Simpson, Dr. Alaina Hunt (Dan), Tyesa Simpson, Trisha Whitsel, Angela Simpson (Bill) and Georgia Simpson. Great-nieces and great-nephews include Dillon Whitsel, Nathanial Whitsel, Olivia Simpson and Brody Hunt.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Charles Kelley Jr.
Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She had been employed as a telemarketer for Solartherm and Person2Person. She enjoyed bingo, reading and jigsaw puzzles.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, by Pastor Lou Hileman. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
