Athlete of the week achievement: Shawley went 2-for-3 with two doubles and delivered the game-winning hit in the ninth inning of Bellwood's 2-0 victory over Claysburg-Kimmel in the District 6 Class A softball championship.

Season update: Shawley is hitting .397 with one home run and 17 RBIs for the 20-3 Lady Blue Devils, who open up the PIAA playoffs today against Saegertown at University Park. She is 6-for-14 in three playoff games.
