S. Jay Sollenberger, 91, Presbyterian Home of Hollidaysburg, died Friday evening at the home.
He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Andrew K. and Sarah Viola (Park) Sollenberger. He married Thelma E. Fornwalt on June 6, 1944, in Hollidaysburg. She died Sept. 8, 1979.
Surviving are two sons: Robert (Jeanne) Sollenberger of Roaring Spring and William (Peggy) Sollenberger of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Linda (Michael) Grove of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren: Renee (Jamie) Skipper, Jason (Nikki) Grove, Tina (Tom) McElwee, Megan (Timothy) Eger and Randall Sollenberger; and five great-grandchildren: Justin and Tyler Skipper, Aleah and Luke Grove and Kaleb Eger.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: O. Park and S. Rex; and a sister, E. Marietta Cassada.
Mr. Sollenberger was a 1940 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He retired in 1983 as an assembler at Veeder-Root Co. after 26 years of service. He was a member of Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren.
Jay enjoyed golf.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Marlys Hershberger.
Interment will be in Shellytown Fairview Cemetery, Williamsburg.
The family requests donations be made in Jay's memory to Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren or Presbyterian Home of Hollidaysburg.
