I was very pleased to see that Rick Geist finally got kicked out of office. He was one of the people I mentioned before who had held office for too long and as a result started to think that the job could only be done by him.
When politicians voted themselves a hefty raise, some realized the error of their ways and gave it back, but Geist actually said that he would keep it because he deserved it.
Now he can sit back and collect his pension for doing nothing. That's one of the sweet set-ups politicians have going for them.
Some people will say that if I feel that way, why don't I run. Well the truth is if you're not wealthy, you have no chance. That's not the way it's supposed to be, but it's the sad truth. You will never see a poor or average person win an election. As for Geist, goodbye and good riddance.
