Donna Lea Biddle, 78, of 1904 Columbia Ave., Tyrone, died unexpectedly Sunday at her residence.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Alfred and Nellie Blanch (Snyder) Weaver. She married Elwood Richard Biddle on Oct. 11, 1951, in Winchester, Va., and he died May 12, 1966.
Surviving are four children: Deborah Kay of Mechanicsburg and Sondra Kay Gardner, Richard Todd and Joseph Allen, all of Tyrone; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: LuAnn Biddle in 1973 and Cathy Lea Schaul in 1997. She was the last of her immediate family.
Donna had been employed at Big Yank Corp. for many years and enjoyed time at her camp with family and friends all summer. She loved sewing, traveling with family, Penn State football and taking care of elderly people.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone. The casket will be closed. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the funeral home, the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating. After the service, a luncheon will be served at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone.
