Richard P. "Richie" Strong II, 26, Irvona, died Sunday at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born in Clearfield, son of Richard P. and Malinda J. "Mindy" (Peterson) Strong.
Surviving are his parents, with whom he resided; three siblings: Derrick (companion, Megan Murarik, and son, Colton) of Irvona, Whitney (companion Josh Beltowski) of Hastings and Morgan at home; his girlfriend, Erin Truax of Houtzdale; his paternal grandparents, Sam and Joyce (Fishel) Strong of Irvona; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Sparky (Dawson) Peterson of Irvona; paternal aunt and uncle: Vicki Rickard of Irvona and Craig (Elizabeth Ruch) Strong of Allentown; and maternal uncles: Ryan Peterson of Irvona, Darren (Jen Brothers) of La Jose and Troy (Sheree Barnett) of Irvona.

Richie was a 2003 graduate of Glendale High School and worked for Smith Transport, Tyrone. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, and 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport, the Rev. Daniel Osterhout officiating. Committal will be in Fairview Cemetery, La Jose RD.
