BELLWOOD - Jayme Fraser drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Bellwood-Antis over Central, 2-1, in a battle of Blair County high school softball heavyweights on Saturday.
Bellwood improved to 17-3, and Central fell to 16-4.
Taylor Payne outdueled Kylie Gunnett by striking out eight and walking none over eight innings. Payne also delivered three hits, including a game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Fraser and Lauren Snyder each collected two hits for Bellwood, and Ashley Smith had two hits for Central.

PHILIPSBURG - Philipsburg-Osceola won the Philipsburg-Osceola tournament with wins over Altoona and Clarion Saturday.
Abby Showers had three hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Mounties in a 6-2 victory over Clarion.
Altoona fell to P-O, 9-4, and Clarion, 5-4.
Showers and McKenzie Burge each had two hits and two RBIs for Philipsburg-Osceola in the victory over Altoona, and Amanda Parrish and Marshe Barnes each had two hits for Altoona.
Clarion scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to overcome a 4-0 deficit. Madeline Berry had two hits for Altoona.
