Altoona juniors win
Andrea Parrish pitched a two-hitter to lead the Altoona junior high softball team to a 1-0 win over Park Forest at Logan Elementary School.
Parrish struck out six and walked three for the Lady Lions (5-12-1). Altoona scored when Emily Little received a bases-loaded walk which scored Emma Kruez.

P-O juniors roll
PHILIPSBURG - Hannah Shimmel went 2-for-3 with a single and a double and a run scored as Philipsburg-Osceola shut out Penns Valley, 11-0, in junior high action.
Jordan Bertothy belted a two-run inside-the-park home run as the Lady Mounties defeated the Lady Rams, 6-1. Their record is now 12-1
