Led by Mitchell Snyder's 23 kills, 10 digs and 10 service points, Altoona defeated Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic, 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18, at the Pleasant Valley gymnasium to remain unbeaten at 12-0 in high school boys volleyball action on Thursday night.
Altoona also got key performances from Clay Gingrich (10 kills and 17 digs), Brandon McGarvey (19 assists and 10 service points), Tanner Baumgartner (21 assists) and Brett Koelle (11 blocks).
Guilfoyle, which fell to 8-8, was led by Nick Little (13 kills), Jamey Brumbaugh (12 service points), T.J. Jorkasky (11 service points), Ben Kasun (24 assists and 10 digs) and Nate Dorman (10 digs).

Central boys earn victory
HUNTINGDON - Chris Brumbaugh had 13 service points, 14 digs and 23 assists as the Central High School boys defeated Huntingdon, 25-17, 25-23, 16-25, 25-16, for their first victory of the season.
Gustavo Riperto contributed 14 service points, and Josh Link had eight kills and seven blocks for the Scarlet Dragons.

Austin Lowey and Maddie Clapper each earned three kills, and Tracy Collier served five aces with an additional service point.
