CLAYSBURG - Ronette Claar tossed a one-hitter, struck out 12 and walked one as Claysburg-Kimmel blanked West Branch in the first game of a doubleheader, 6-0, on Thursday in high school softball action.

Hannah Claycomb had two hits and three RBIs for the Lady Bulldogs.

In Game 2, Brooke Ritchey and Madison Ickes each had two hits and three RBIs in Claysburg's 12-2 five-inning win. C-K finished the regular season 19-0.

Portage wins two

PORTAGE - Court Jubina homered and doubled as Portage topped Windber, 11-4, and the Lady Mustangs became playoff eligible by beating Blacklick Valley, 17-9, later in the day.

In that game, with Portage trailing, 5-4 in the second inning, Emily McCabe hit a grand slam, and the Lady Mustangs never relinquished the lead.

Kaitlyn Dividock homered in the first game for Portage, and Alyssa Madigan had three RBIs in the second.
