LEADING OFF: The Curve have been shut out in four of their 15 losses, and in six other losses they've managed only one run. So two runs is apparently the team's magic number. When it has scored at least two runs, its record is 10-5.
SAFE AT FIRST: The other three pitchers who have thrown complete games against the Curve this season were: Erie RHP Zack Segovia (six-inning CG Monday), Akron LHP T.J. McFarland (seven-inning CG Sunday) and Harrisburg LHP Daniel Rosenbaum (nine-inning CG April 18).
STEALING SECOND: 1B Matt Curry went 1-for-3 Thursday and is hitting .307, while SS Brock Holt was 2-for-4 to raise his average to .305.
ROUNDING THIRD: The Curve return to PNG Field tonight for a four-game series against Richmond (including a DH Saturday), then take Monday off before playing an abbreviated two-game series against Bowie on Tuesday and Wednesday.
HEADING HOME: Tonight's promotion: Starling Marte canvas painting to first 1,000 fans.
