MARTINSBURG - Philipsburg-Osceola scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning and the Lady Mounties hung on for a 6-5 win over Central in high school softball on Wednesday, avenging an earlier loss to the Lady Dragons.
Aisha Goss drove in three runs for the winners, who improved to 10-4.
Taylor McKnight belted a double with two RBIs for the Lady Dragons (12-3), who erased a 6-0 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the fifth to make a game of it.

HUNTINGDON - Morgan Glover's two-out single - her fourth hit of the game - scored Atalie Yingling from third base in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Huntingdon to a win over Central Mountain.
Glover knocked in five runs, and Yingling had three hits. Huntingdon's Casey Baird and Alexyss Spencer had two apiece, and Central Mountain's Janelle Strouse and Jess Kaler had three hits apiece.

The Lady Bulldogs (14-0) also got three hits and an RBI from Kala Brumbaugh to go with two hits each from Kiersten Coho and Abby Kulick. Kulick also added an RBI.
Laura Harris had two hits for the Damsels, who also got an RBI effort from Tayia Swoope.

In the nightcap, Morgan Feiler belted two hits, including the game-winning RBI single for one of her three RBIs on the day as the Lady Tigers took game two, 12-6.

PHILIPSBURG - Jordan Bertoghy scored the winning run in bottom of the fifth inning as Philipsburg-Osceola'a A team defeated Central Mountain, 1-0, in junior high girls action.
In game two, Chelsey Henry pounded a triple and collected three RBIs as the Lady Mounties defeated the Lady Wildcats, 10-6. Courtney Watson singled and doubled and scored two runs.
