Nancy M. Fiore, 60, of Altoona died Friday at her residence of a cardiac episode due to pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Fred A. and Elizabeth Mae (Conrad) Auker. She was married on June 2, 1973, to Richard F. Fiore Sr., president of Leonard S. Fiore Inc.
She is survived by her mother; husband; two sons: Richard F. Fiore Jr. and wife, Stacy, and Michael L. Fiore and wife, Katie, of Altoona; a daughter, Sara L. Gunnett, and husband, Bill, of Duncansville; a brother, Jack Auker and wife, Pam, of Quincy, Fla.; a sister, Essie Auker, of Altoona; grandchildren: Sam, John, Mary, Richard III, Nancy, Allison and Sophia; sisters-in-law, Mary Auker of Bethlehem, Pa., Lenora Irwin and husband, Tom, Marilyn Seymore and husband, Jeff, all of Altoona; brothers-in-law: Leonard Fiore Jr. and wife, Frankie, of Altoona, David Fiore and wife, Bettina, of Westport, Conn., and Michael Fiore and wife, Barbara, of Hollidaysburg; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Michael C. Auker.
She was a 1969 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and a 1972 graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. Nancy was previously an operating room nurse at Altoona Hospital.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Nancy enjoyed traveling, gardening and knitting. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended families and many friends to whom she was a "baby sitter, nurse and counselor." She will be greatly missed by all of them.
Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School, 2400 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602; or St. Rose of Lima School, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, PA 16602, in Nancy's memory.
