The 2012 Pints for Pets Brewfest to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society will be held May 12 at the PNG Field (formerly the Blair County Ballpark). Session 1 will be from 1 to 4 p.m., and Session 2 will be from 6 to 9 p.m. More than 3,000 people are expected this year, making this central PA's biggest and most popular fundraiser.
More than 75 breweries from around the U.S. and around the world join together to sample their many craft and import brews. Several local bands will be on hand to donate their time and talents. Even non-beer drinkers love the festive atmosphere and come out to socialize with friends and neighbors.
Tickets will be $35 each and are on sale now.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.pintsforpets.com or www.altoonacurve.com or at several area businesses, including Cassidy's Brew Zoo, Al's Tavern and the Altoona Curve Box Office, all in Altoona; Shan Nicole's Pub, Hollidaysburg; and Pletcher's Beer Distributor, State College.
