The Penn State Nittany Lions have added Hershey offensive lineman Andrew Nelson to their 2013 football recruiting haul.
The eighth member in the class, Nelson is a 6-foot-5, 265-pound tackle. Nelson received his scholarship offer on Saturday, and the self-described lifelong Nittany Lion fan picked Penn State over Maryland, Missouri, Pitt, Northwestern and Temple on Sunday.
Nelson joins New Jersey guard Brendan Mahon in filling two of a projected three slots for offensive linemen in the Lions' 2013 class. Belle Vernon tackle Dorian Johnson, who also visited University Park on Saturday, seems to be Penn State's top target; he reportedly has the Lions and Pitt as his current leaders.
