BEDFORD - Josh Wakefield and Dylan Evans helped spur the Bedford boys to the team title in the Bedford Giant Eagle Track and Field Invitational on Saturday.
Wakefield won the 300-meter hurdles and placed second in the 110 hurdles. Evans won the 400 dash.
Bedford also received a first-place finish from its 1600 relay team.

Tyrone was second behind Charles Wilson-Adams' meet record-setting high jump of 6 feet, 8 inches. He also won the long jump and was second in the triple jump.
Other area boys winners were Tussey Mountain's Gabriel Goizuetas in the 3200 run, Matt Pride of Central Cambria in the 110 hurdles and the Central Cambria 3200 relay team.
Bedford's Carrie Baker won the 400 dash and pole vault, and Central Cambria's Alyssa Brandis won the 1600 and 3200 runs to lead area girls.
Tussey's Carlee Bussard took the shot put. Forest Hills won the girls title.
