LEADING OFF: Curve SS Brock Holt is having an up-and-down start to the season. He's doing well offensively, hitting .368 after a 2-for-4 effort Thursday, but he also has committed three errors. His miscue in the second inning helped Richmond take a 3-0 lead.
SAFE AT FIRST: LF Quincy Latimore has four errors. So between Holt and Latimore, they each have as many or more errors individually than four teams in the Eastern League: Reading (0), Akron (1), Erie (1) and Harrisburg (3).
STEALING SECOND: Richmond 1B Wes Hodges homered against the Curve on Thursday. He's the guy who hit the walk-off homer as a visiting player in the bizarre, rainy finish to the 2011 season at Blair County Ballpark.
ROUNDING THIRD: Backup IF Greg Picart, who just joined the Curve from extended spring training, has been promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis to help with its infield depth. OF Anthony Norman has been added to the Curve roster from extended spring training.
HEADING HOME: Former Curve RHP Michael Dubee, who was released by the Pirates late in spring training, has found a home in the EL with Trenton as a reliever.
