Rosalia Josephine "Tootie" Killian, 93, Altoona, died early Wednesday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence Logan and Pauline (Greiner) Kuhn. She married William Kenneth Killian on July 31, 1940, in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1991.
Surviving are a son, William C. and wife, Kathy, of Altoona; two granddaughters: Jennifer Ann Herncane and husband, Andrew, of Sinking Valley and Rebecca Lynn Johnson and fiance, Joshua Wagner, of Altoona; and two great-granddaughters: Emily Nicole and Abigail Rae Herncane.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna J. Johnson; and an infant daughter, Martha Margaret Killian.
Tootie was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School and formerly was employed as a cashier at Fanale's Store. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona, and St. Mark's Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona (www.myerssomersfuneralhome.com), where a vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal rites will be held at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
