St. Francis women's basketball coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl is resigning to become head coach at Providence, the Mirror learned this evening.
Robinson Fruchtl led the Red Flash women's program for five seasons and reached two NCAA Tournaments. She was expected to address her St. Francis players this evening about the news.
Robinson Fruchtl was a star player at Penn State, scoring more than 2,000 points and grabbing more than 1,000 rebounds during her career. Her 2,253 points stood as the PSU career record until 2004.
