Bedford teams sweep
BEDFORD - Tanner Williams won the 1600 and 3200 runs as the Bedford boys defeated Richland, 78-72, and Penn Cambria, 86-64. Richland beat Penn Cambria, 87-62.
The Panthers' James Mardula won three events, the high jump, long jump and triple jump.
Carrie Baker won the 400 dash and the pole vault to help lead the Bedford girls to wins over Richland (77-72) and Penn Cambria (104-45). Richland defeated Penn Cambria, 102-47.
The Lady Panthers' Arlee Simendinger won the 1600 and 3200 runs.

Pirates break records
PHILIPSBURG - Williamsburg's Bryce England and Anna Crouch each wrote their name into the school record books with their performances at a tri-meet with Central and Philipsburg-Osceola on Tuesday.
England set records with wins in the 1600 run (4:48) and the 3200 run (10:38).
Crouch's toss of 95 feet was good enough to break the school record in the javelin.
Other first-place finishers for the Blue Pirates included Chad Wheland in the 800 run (2:14) and Mike Biddle in the javelin (144 feet).
