Dragons score six in eighth to defeat Rams

SPRING MILLS - Central scored six runs in the eighth inning to break open a 4-4 tie and defeat Penns Valley, 10-4, in a battle of Mountain League high school softball teams on Monday.

Central (2-0) got three hits and three RBIs from Kate Blattenberger, and two hits and two RBIs from Janine Snyder.

Kate Burge had two hits. Gonder doubles and tripled, and Mackenzie Burge hit a home run.

Altoona juniors lose
