HOLLIDAYSBURG - Plans for Walk MS 2012 have been announced. The walk will be held April 22 at the Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School, beginning with registration at 1 p.m. and the walk at 2 p.m.
The route of the three-mile walk is handicapped accessible, and the walkers will be led by Steve Kelsey of WFGY-FM 98.1 and Carolyn Donaldson of WTAJ TV.

According to Sharon O'Keiff, manager of the Keystone Branch Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, approximately 1,000 walkers are expected to participate to reach the goal of $83,000. Walkers collect flat donations.
Walk MS is the society's signature fundraising event across the nation.
"The monies raised from Walk MS 2012 will help improve the quality of life for the 7,500 people with MS living in Western Pennsylvania," said Anthea L. Germano, public relations director for the society's Keystone Branch.
"Walk MS and other events raise essential funds for research, education and direct services for people with MS, along with their families and caregivers.''
At the conclusion of the walk, participants are invited to gather for food, refreshments and entertainment hosted by Kelsey and featuring guitarist Steve Summerhill.
The MS Walk 2012 platinum sponsor is Peoples Natural Gas.
Western Pennsylvania sponsors are Mylan, Biogen Idec, Acorda Therapeutics and EMD Serono.
