HUNTINGDON - The Altoona boys tennis team opened its season on Monday with a win, defeating Huntingdon, 5-0, in high school action.

The Lions got wins from Chad Allender, Chris Reighard, Ryan Good, Mustafa Ahmad and Joey Settimio.

There were no doubles matches becausee the match was cut short due to rain.

SINGLES: 1, Allender, A, def. Piensationinal, 10-3; 2, Reighard, A, def. Santos, 10-3; 3, Good, A, def. Perow, 10-5; 4, Ahmad, A, def. Acker, 10-0. 5, Settimio, A, def. Forsha, 10-0.

Records: Altoona (1-0). Huntingdon (0-1)

BG defeated

SOMERSET - Bishop Guilfoyle was shut out in its opening match against Somerset, 5-0. It was also the first match of the year for Somerset.
