I just read about the most stupid thing that Congress wants to do. Legislators want to reduce the amount of time you can collect unemployment benefits from 99 weeks to 77 weeks, which I believe is still too long.
I know of five people who will not look for work. They said that they saved money by not working and by not having to drive their cars. They pick up odd jobs to make up the difference.
The government also wants anyone signing up for unemployment checks to subject themselves to drug test. No pass no checks.
Something is wrong with this. Welfare recipients don't have to do this.
I think the whole society has turned upside down. What's next, people collecting Social Security getting drug tested in order to receive their earned Social Security checks?
