The Altoona Area School District Music Department will perform a "String Spectacular Concert" at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Altoona Area High School auditorium. The concert will include performances by the Altoona Area High School and Altoona Area Junior High School Symphonic Orchestras, as well as the Elementary String Orchestra.
Audience members will have the opportunity to hear the progress made by students as they mature in their musical studies. This concert will provide an overview of the AASD orchestral music program. String faculty will discuss the opportunities and scheduling of the AAHS and AAJHS programs and will a packet of information regarding the program. Tickets are $3 and will be available at the door.
