Bedford's five-point win over Chestnut Ridge in the District 5 Duals final wasn't the only close district duals championship across the state.
In fact, Western Wayne (14-6), the team that Bedford (15-0) will face Thursday afternoon in the first round of the PIAA Duals in Hershey, claimed the District 2 crown with a 35-34 win over Lake Lehman.
Unbeaten Boiling Springs (21-0) captured the District 3 Class AA title with a 29-28 victory over Bermudian Springs. Fort LeBoeuf won the District 10 Class AA crown with a 31-28 victory over Reynolds, which earned the 700th win in the program's history by hammering Greenville, 51-16, in the semifinals.
Wyalusing earned the District 4 Class AA title with a 30-25 victory over Central Columbia.
Burrell wins sixth straight
Burrell captured its sixth straight District 7 Class AA title with a 34-31 win over Jefferson-Morgan at Chartiers Valley High School. The Buccaneers were down 25-0 after the first six weights, but they clinched the win with Cory Klems' 3-1 victory over Ryan Mayfield at 220 pounds - the last bout of the night.
Canon-McMillan cruised to the Class AAA title with a 53-12 win over North Allegheny.
Easton wins D-11 crown
In highly competitive District 11, Easton won the Class AAA crown with a 38-22 victory over Parkland, and defending PIAA Duals Class AA champ Bethlehem Catholic defeated Pen Argyl, 37-30.
Central Dauphin, which has won four straight PIAA Duals Class AAA titles, beat Mechanicsburg, 35-22, to win the District 3 Class crown.
