Frances C. "Fannie" Carper, 92, Tyrone, died Monday at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
She was born in Lewistown, daughter of Samuel and Josephine (Dellich) Seiner. She married Miles E. Carper on Aug. 19, 1939, in Cumberland, Md., and he died July 28, 1993.
Surviving are five children: Nancy L. Teeters of Tyrone, Howard G. (Carol) of Irving, Texas, E. Jean Nein (Robert E.) and Beverly M. Rizzo, both of Tyrone, and Janet D. Miller (William) of Bald Eagle; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judy; five brothers; three sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
Fannie was a homemaker and loved her flowers and gardening. She was of the Methodist faith.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, the Rev. Barry E. Neal officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
