Nadolsky, Gehret, Endress set records

Altoona graduates Aaron Nadolsky and Brady Gehret were part of winning 1,600-meter relay team at the Penn State National Saturday.

The Penn State squad ran a meet-record time of 3:08.87 and beat out Pittsburgh for the top spot. The event was known as the inaugural "Joe Paterno Invitational."

On Friday, Nadolsky and fellow Altoona graduate Wade Endress were part of a meet-record distance medley relay team that took first place.

Nadolsky, Endress, Connor Manley and Robby Creese are now ranked No. 1 in the NCAA in the DMR.

Chelsea McClellan, an Altoona graduate, placed eighth in both the 60-meter hurdles and the triple jump for the St. Francis track and field team at the Youngstown Invitational Saturday.

Williamsburg graduate Jordan Hileman was named the Landmark Conference's women's basketball player of the week for her efforts on the Juniata women's basketball team recently.

Hileman averaged 12.5 points per game, five assists and five and a half rebounds in victories over Moravian and Scranton. Hileman also shot 71 percent from the field.

Lysa Mealing, an Altoona graduate, scored a career-high nine points and had four rebounds off the bench for the Lock Haven women's basketball team in a 73-64 loss to Gannon Saturday.

Hollidaysburg graduate Sara Trimarco piled up a team-high nine assists and scored five points for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown women's basketball team in an 85-71 win over Charleston Saturday.

Trimarco had an even bigger game in an 86-68 victory over Ohio Valley Thursday. The former Lady Tiger scored 18 points, had nine assists and brought down four rebounds.

Jordan Miller, a Central Cambria graduate, had 12 points and five assists for the UPJ men's basketball team in a 79-69 loss to Charleston Saturday.

Miller led UPJ in scoring with 20 points Thursday in a 93-71 win over Ohio Valley.

Tyrone graduate A.J. Schopp pinned Craig Barker in 3:46 for the Edinboro wrestling team Friday in a 23-16 win over Bloomsburg.

Kelsey Miles, a Huntingdon graduate, won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:18.96 to capture first place for the Juniata women's swimming team in a tri-meet against Penn State Altoona and Hood Saturday.

Miles also won the 400-yard free in 4:57.35.

Juniata won both contests.
