Jason Coy Hott, 32, Altoona, died Monday.
He was born in Altoona, son of John and Brenda (Jones) Scott.
Surviving are a son, Joseph A. McCully of Altoona; a stepson, Dyllan A. McCully of Altoona; a daughter, Madeline M. Hott of Altoona; a brother, Mark A. Hott (Irina) of Duncansville; two sisters: Melissa L. Long of Altoona and Shannon N. Long of Cresson; two nieces: Alexandria Troutman and Marlette Hott; his grandparents: David and Mary Ellen Eckenrod and Fred Hott; and his stepgrandmother, Florence Scott.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Rick Long.
He was engaged to Julie Rightnour.
Jason was a 1999 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was self-employed in construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors, especially spending time on his grandparents' farm, swimming and camping with his children.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona (www.stevensmortuary.com). A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. this evening, Jan. 27, 2012, at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
