16-ounce package dry lentils
Half package of celery, diced
3 or 4 carrots, diced
2 medium onions, chopped
1 package of bacon, cooked crisp
10 cups water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees?Fahrenheit, layer bacon strips on jelly roll pan and bake until crisp.
Meanwhile, put lentils in soup pot with lid and add the water. Bring to boil. Add celery, carrots and onions, bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook until lentils are done. When bacon is cool, break into pieces and add to soup.
