ALEXANDRIA - Stewart Borst led all scorers with 18 points, and Brett Grissinger added 17 as Juniata Valley knocked visiting Mount Union from the Inter-County Conference North boys basketball unbeaten ranks, 63-53, on Monday night.

Caleb Taylor had 14 points, while John Leari had 11 rebounds for the Green Hornets.

MORRISDALE - Joel Lidgett poured in 28 points, and Tyler Rothrock chipped in with 19 as West Branch came back from a first-quarter deficit to keep the Moshannon Valley boys basketball team winless, 70-42, in a game that counted in both the Inter-County Conference North and Moshannon Valley League standings.

Mo Valley's Joel Martin finished with 21 points.

Tigers prevail

HOLLIDAYSBURG - The Hollidaysburg Area High School boys swimming team improved to 4-0 with a 106-59 victory over DuBois.

Colter Long (100 breaststroke and 200 IM), Mace Long (100 backstroke and 100 butterfly) and Matt Crum (100 freestyle and 500 freestyle) were double winners for the Tigers.

The Hollidaysburg girls fell, 104-66.

BG frosh triumph

EBENSBURG - The Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic Gold freshman ice hockey team defeated Northern Cambria, 3-1, at the North Central Events Center.

Josh DeGol, Catcher Cumming, Joe Dombrowski scored goals for BG, and goalie Trent Bogert made 22-of-23 saves. Jeffery Larkin scored Northern Cambria's goal.
