JOHNSTOWN - Three Cambria County business leaders will be inducted in April as laureates in the Johnstown/Cambria County Business Hall of Fame.
Ed Cernic Sr., founder of Cernic's Inc.; Russell J. Gramlich, retired president of the Johnstown administrative office of MetLife Inc.; and Edward W. Kane, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist, political consultant and civic leader, were named Monday as the 2012 laureates.
Honorees are nominated by area business people. Laureates must be area natives or have made their contribution to the area; their contribution must be outstanding and enduring to the business community; and must no longer be active in the business position in which their contribution was made, or must have reached 70 years of age.
The 2012 induction ceremony will be held on April 27, with a reception at 6:15 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center.
The event is co-sponsored by the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania.
