I wrote after Todd Graham took the Pitt job but I mentioned that Pitt was taking a chance and this guy couldn't be trusted.
Living in the Houston area, I saw firsthand how he promised Rice his allegiance and how he stiffed recruits before he left for Tulsa.
And then when Pitt came calling, he did the same thing to the Tulsa folks. Arizona State better figure out a way to contractually bind this guy if they really want him that bad.
I think he'd leave one school for another for fifty bucks.

I couldn't agree more with Neil Rudel's column on Todd Graham's departure from Pitt.
Luckily, Steve Pederson was at Nebraska when Ben Howland left Pitt or Jamie Dixon, with no previous head coaching experience, would never have been promoted.
The Nordenberg-Pederson team looks more and more like Posvar-Bozik every day. I'd still want Tom Bradley.

Disappointed in Penn State
I always thought that a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in this land and a person is found guilty without a shadow of a doubt.
Take the Sandusky case, for example.
Just as we saw with the Catholic Church, we now see it with Penn State, individuals coming out of the woodwork saying they were abused.
Lawyers are advertising. The almighty dollar is at work again. Abused or not - this is a money-making opportunity. It will take awhile to weed out the false from the truth.
The Board of Trustees took the least resistant road and got rid of JoePa and anybody else that could be found to have some fault. Whatever happened to standing up for your people? What they did to JoePa was a terrible thing to do at the end of a marvelous career.
What was he to do? Hearsay doesn't count for much, as I learned years ago. He didn't see it. How could he have stopped it?
False allegations can get you into legal trouble. He passed it on to the higher authorities from what an assistant coach told him. Now the story has changed several times. If the cops were called, that should have been the end of it.
I think the main media intent was to draw attention to child abuse.
I'm agitated about the way this was and is being handled with the media and the way JoePa was dishonored. Sandusky hasn't even gone to trial yet. Yet many are paying the price on only accusations at this point.
I am extremely concerned for those who were and are actually being abused. It is a most terrible thing. Yes, accusations should be taken seriously, but not blabbed to the media until all is said and done.
How many times have we read about accusers recanting their accusations years later, because they were mad at the person to get even or some other reason other than abuse which never actually happened?
A rush to judgment without a trial? Not in the America where I, my father, my sons and my forefathers fought for.
Count me as one disappointed Penn State alumnus.

A vote for Bradley
While following the entire despicable ordeal that has unfolded at Penn State, I have nothing but total admiration for the football team and the coaches remaining who were out of the line of fire.
Interim head coach Tom Bradley not only deserves to be the coach because of his experience but also because he has not been implicated in any way with the Sandusky fiasco.
His coaching ability surfaced at the Horseshoe in Columbus. It was also evident when they lost.
To me, his ability to keep the team's head screwed on tight, as well as the coaching staff remaining, and coming up a winner says mounds about his character and ability.
