CRESSON -- After one day of action at the Sheetz Holiday Classic, the Huntingdon wrestling team sits in first place with a total of 84 team points among the 19-team field.
Huntingdon wrestlers who made it to the semifinals of today's final round action at Penn Cambria include Matt Wilson (113), Josh Gutshall (138), Josh Bafia (152), Zach Romano (160) and Nathan Shope (190).
Altoona is sending D.J. Hollingshead (120), T.J. Brandt (126) and Mante Barnes (195) into the semifinals along with Hollidaysburg's Damian Huff at 113, Laret Miller at 182 and Matt Barton at 285.
Cambria Heights is represented by Ryan Dupas at 113, Joe Davis at 126, Levi Niebauer at 138, Ross Inzana at 170 and Tyler Crawford at 182. Host Penn Cambria has Nick Szala (138) and Jon Stoy (152) and Seth McClendon (285) headed for semifinal-round action. Central Cambria's Ben Rager (132) and Tony Risaliti (160) are also wrestling today for a shot at the semifinalist.
In the team standings, Cambria Heights is sixth, followed by Penn Cambria in seventh, Hollidaysburg in 11th, Altoona in 13th, Portage in 16th, Central Cambria in 17th and Northern Cambria in 19th place.
