Robert J. "Bob" Bearer, 87, Carrolltown, died Tuesday. He was born in Carrolltown, son of Irvin J. and M. Ethelend Bearer. Surviving are his wife, Marian (Jepson); three children: Christopher R., Janell Gatlin and Jennifer Kavar; five grandchildren; and four siblings: Elizabeth Perry, William, Ben and Bernard. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Regina; and a sister, Barbara Mulligan. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Carrolltown, and from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.
