SIDMAN - Central Cambria's Alyssa Brandis finished in first overall, and teammates Jordan Hayward (fifth, 20:36) and Dawn Craft (sixth, 20:42) also placed in the top 10 as the Lady Red Devils captured the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference cross country championship Wednesday.
Brandis crossed the finish line in 19 minutes, 26 seconds.
Penn Cambria's Arlee Simendinger was third with a time of 20:25.
The Lady Panthers were fifth in the team standings.
Westmont Hilltop claimed the boys title by 18 points over Somerset.
Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic's Jared Keller finished in second overall, 31 seconds behind Westmont's Kevin Dailey (16:44).
Eric Boothman (17:29) was fourth overall, and Bedford's Tanner Williams (17:43) was seventh.

NBC's Snyder wins ICC
MOUNT UNION - Northern Bedford's Maria Snyder (19:23) won the Inter-County Conference meet by 54 seconds.
In the team competition, Juniata Valley took second place on a tie-breaker as the Lady Hornets were led by Brittany Kurtz, who placed fifth in 20:49. Bellwood-Antis was in fifth place and was led by April Taylor in 12th.
Tussey Mountain's Sam Coffman placed fourth in 20:39.
In the boys race, Seth Lingenfelter of Northern Bedford took third place. Bellwood-Antis finished in fourth place as Kevin Anello placed fifth with a time of 18:20.
Tussey Mountain's Andrew Black placed 16th overall in 19:24, and Juniata Valley, which took fifth in the team standings, was led by Jed Reed's 17th-place finish in 19:25.

Simcox leads Philipsburg
REEDSVILLE - Philipsburg-Osceola's Lauren Simcox finished in fifth place as the Lady Mounties took fourth overall at the Moutain League Conference championship.
Tyrone's Alyssa Brisbin was in 18th place, and Alyssa Clark of Central was 20th as Central took fifth overall.
In the boys race, Cole Curtis of Philipsburg-Osceola placed eighth as the Mounties finished fifth in the team standings.
Tyrone took third place and was led by Devon Wiser, who finished 19th in 18:47. Mark Brumbaugh of Central helped the Scarlet Dragons to a sixth-place finish as he took 12th with a time of 18:29.
